If you have forked the Dolibarr github repo, and have created a new branch, it might be interesting for us to take a look at that, because then we can see what you have changed.
You might be hit by the issue where Dolibarr sends the notification email BEFORE it generates the document.
What I’d like were for Dolibarr member module to distinguish between members with an unpaid contribution invoice due, and a paid one.
I would also like if I could get my members to go to a secured website, check their member info like address, phone, email, … so it can be updated.
