yes. Do you see it sending any email? if so, when does it send it?
if not, can you monitor the out going mail in a different way so you can see when it is sent and corelate it with the PDF generating timestamp.
What else happens in the logs? are the document revisited? Are other objects changed after the PDF is generated?
Does the generated file have the requested information?
