Now on develop - how to migrate to last stable?

Hi,

I am now on develop Branch for my production system. Ofcourse this is adventurous, but …

Now as I want to use commercial modules in the future, what would you suggest is the best way to smouthly migrate to the new stable Branch, as it comes available ?

wouldn’t it be better to port the few things you want from develop to v20?

Hello,

If you are on the actual develop Branch means you are in V21-Alpha : It’s not possible to downgrade a Dolibarr to V20.
So either you try with export tool then import tool on a fresh V20
Or you remain on V21-Alpha and wait to have the V21-stable (in january)

thats what I think I’ll do:

  • Wait till Branch 21 is created
  • git branch to 21 and stay there until the next stable 22 is out.

I am not in a hurry with this and also think the database changes in develop will not work with stable.

Now I have a plan !
