Product level Traceability

Using my Dolibarr PM modules

I want to trace every product that is received in my warehouse by a unique serial number so i turned on the module for lot/serial numbers in my 21.x installation.

However, my products come in shipping containers in lots. so i need an additional field to store the lot number. again, the products are boxed so i want to be able to store the box numbers as well.

Who has implemented something like this before and can provide guidance?

You can try Dolibarr extrafield to store your additional data.

As a follow up, so at the point of sale or when when prepping an invoice how would i know which of the customers was served with serial number?

We have done this for a pharmaceutical distribution company in the past, in the UK where there is a legal requirement to have end-to-end traceability on pharmaceuticals.

I have not used this module, but maybe it can do what you want?
