Product stock location

Hello Everyone,

im looking for a solution to show the actual stock location of some products, e.g. spare parts (Row 1-100, container 1-100 for example) within the warehouse. I went through all the options with extrafields but it is not convenient and im using not for all products a serial number. Any suggestions welcome. At the moment we are using a separate excel file :smiley:.

Hi Albi,

a way we are using since years is to have multiple warehouses.
An example:
1000 - Warehouse “Main Stock”
1000-01 Room 1 in Main Stock area
1000-01-02-05 Main Stock Room1 Shelf 2 Tablet 5

With this hierarchy it is possible to define very precise where the parts are but also very easy to get everything per shelf, room, whatever.

Important will be to set also the standard warehouse per product and to do a accurate booking if parts are moved.

If you have a lot materials with serial no. moved internally it can become tricky and time consuming because with serial no. you need to book one by one.
I have an extra module to make this more comfortable.

thank you for the input. I thought about this solution already, but i think it gets too messy for us. Do you have a demo of your other solution?

Hi Albi,

you are right it can get messy quickly. I am using about 150 warehouses (shelfs and trays).

My tool is just to make the bookings easier:

As in the standard you have to do it one by one because of the serial no.
All transfers done by this module are logged into a extra list. So tracability of movements or roll back isn’t an issue.

If you have another Idea let me know - I do the module :slight_smile:
