Even though the setup that I have downloaded is an English version, there are still many places in the Database,Source Code and even Menus, where the text is in french, which is making it very difficult to customize. I literally have to copy paste the matter into Google translator to understand what is being displayed.
I dont intend to be demanding, but just request that it would be wonderful, if we could have everything in English in the English version.
Version 2.8 should be translated at 100%
When you find french content, can you tell us where you find it ?
Oh This is Great News!!! I think you mean version 2.9, cause i am using the 2.8.1 version which is having a lot of french in its English edition.
Sorry to say so but there are so many places that contain french including
Folder
- commande, compta, propale etc.
File Names
- fiche.php, modules_commande.php
In the database:
Constant, Text Strings - VIR, Affichage tableau de bord de travail Dolibarr
Table names - llx_categorie_fournisseur, llx_socpeople, llx_c_pays,Structure llx_c_departements
Database fields - civilite, fk_soc, ville
In the source code:
The code comments - // Dispo en plusieurs langues, // Recupere emmetteur
Constants, Classes, Objects, Variables etc
Functions - _tableau_info

You speak about french words in coding.
I was speaking about words in user interface. For user interface, english is complete even in 2.8.1
So i was meaning 2.8, not 2.9
For 2.9 there will have no change (except produit dir renamed into product, and more code comment in english. We change this step by step)
And french into database content is no more used.
Well in the user interface there are places like

Where there is Rubriques. also when sending email the default text that is added to the subject and body is in french.
My humble request is to please not misunderstand this post - I love the French Language and find it one of the sweetest languages on this planet (My good friend who died of cancer was from Belgium and used to teach me few words in french, when she visited India).
But unfortunately in my small company neither me nor do our employees even know to speak or understand french forget about them able to read or write in french.

I wish to know, if you have any plans of changing the remaining french content in the non user interface elements like
Source Code - Comments, Constants Variables, Functions
Database - Tables,Fields, Constants
File System - Files, Folders
in the English Version of Dolibarr 2.9 the way the User Interface is being updated.
In comments, yes, we change step by step.
For variables, we also change steps by steps but it may take long times.
For tables, fields, filesystem, folders and class name: No as this is a too important work.

What I meant was US_En Version of Dolibarr.
To be honest, even I would not have the courage to use dolibarr if dolibarr did not have an English version.
In fact one of the main reason many of us have chosen dolibarr is because it is Open Source and so that we can customize it to our personal requirements, But customizing it is becoming very difficult especially when the source code, application and database are in a language most developers cant follow. Even if we translate everything - It will be difficult for us to upgrade to the newer versions that will released in the future. This is the only reason for my request to have the Dolibarr in English Version having everything (Interface, Source Code etc.) in English.
I am sure having such a version in this internationally popular language will increase Dolibarr’s popularity and acceptance worldwide.
